Pouring down with rain when we went but it was really good and our 2 and 4 year olds loved it. Cafe was good, but on the expensive side. All staff lovely as well. Will be going back when it's nicer weather.

We went to see Santa, and the pricing was completely misleading. On the website, it clearly stated that two adults could enter free with one child, and there was no mention of needing to pay extra. However, when we arrived, we were told we had to pay additional fees to get in. They claimed the policy had recently changed, but when I booked, there was nothing about this on the website. If I had known about the extra cost, I would not have booked in the first place, as there are much better offers elsewhere. They made us pay just to go through the model village because they placed Santa at the very end. This was very disappointing and felt unfair as we were not informed beforehand.

Went there during half term and loved it. Thought that it would be small but there was so much to explore. The village was so detailed and well thought out. Cafe had a good selection of food for children and the playground was a lovely addition. The steam train was the icing on the cake. Definitely worth taking children

A wonderful place to take small children. Model railway and a huge variety of buildings. A lovely day out. Cafe and covered eating area. Very polite staff.

Will NOT accept cash on questioning this we were told cash is a security risk (strange how they have managed since 1929). Pay to get in then pay more for the little train ride. Food, drink and ice creams overpriced.

From the moment we stepped into the village, we were transported into a miniature world that was both charming and meticulously detailed. My kids were absolutely fascinated by the tiny houses, bustling streets, and the intricate model railway that wound its way through the village. The attention to detail was incredible, with moving parts, lights, and even tiny people going about their daily lives. One of the highlights for my kids was the funfair section, complete with a miniature Ferris wheel and carousel. They also loved watching the model trains chugging along the tracks, and we spent a good amount of time following the trains and spotting all the little scenes set up around the village. My wife and I appreciated the historical aspect of Bekonscot, which showcases life in England during the 1930s. It was like stepping back in time, and we enjoyed pointing out the differences and similarities to our kids. The village is beautifully maintained, and there are plenty of benches and picnic areas where we could sit and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our visit even more pleasant. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at the on-site café, which had a good selection of food that catered to both adults and children. Overall, Bekonscot Model Village exceeded our expectations. It was a delightful experience that offered something for everyone in the family. We left with big smiles and a lot of wonderful memories. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and educational day out! Marking as place to visit again... Forgot to mention free and ample parking space.

I recently visited Bekonscot Model Village and while the attraction itself is charming, my experience was marred by their cashless policy. I was surprised and disappointed to find out that they do not accept cash at all While I understand the shift towards cashless transactions, I believe it’s important for family attractions like this to accommodate all visitors, including those who prefer or rely on cash payments. Many people, especially the elderly or those without cards, might find this inconvenient or exclusionary. It's a shame because this policy detracts from what could otherwise be a delightful day out. The village models are detailed and the layout is impressive, but I can't overlook the hassle and frustration caused by the payment restrictions. Unfortunately, I can only give one star due to this experience. I hope Bekonscot reconsiders this decision and offers more flexible payment options in the future.
